Ellie K. Harris

Ellie K. Harris is a partner at the law firm of Schwarz & Harris, P.A.. She focuses her legal practice in the areas of Wills, Trusts, Probate, Trust Administration, and Guardianship.
Ms. Harris received her Juris Doctor degree, from Michigan State University and earned a full athletic scholarship to play volleyball at the State University of New York at Buffalo where she received her Bachelor of Arts, in Political Science. Ms. Harris also received an LL.M. in Elder Law from Stetson University College of Law. An LL.M. is an advanced law degree specializing in the field of Elder Law. Ms. Harris is the only known attorney in Charlotte County that has retained the LL.M. in Elder law.

Ms. Harris is a member of the Charlotte Estate Planning Counsel, Charlotte County Bar Association, and Business and Professional Women of Charlotte County. She has previously served on the General Elder Law Guardianship Committee of the Florida Bar, and as a board member for the Life Long Learning Institute at Edison College, YMCA, and Treasurer of the Charlotte County Young Lawyers’ Division.

She also teaches the Guardianship Education Course for Charlotte County and has taught the Exam Committee Initial Training Course. She also has taught the Estate Planning Course at Edison College Life Long Learning Institute.
